Opportunities were also given for the bowling club to raise money for themselves by holding tombola stalls in the store. A cheque for over £332 was received from the Community Fund during the year and another cheque at the end of the year for £3,804. Also, £403 was raised on the stalls giving a total of £3,820.22. An amazing result! e money will be used to build an outside covered seating area so members can watch the games in comfort and under cover. ey would like to say thank you to the sta and Members of Waterside Bowling Club receiving the cheque from Matthew, Manager of Holbury Co-op at the end of the year customers of Holbury Co-op for this fantastic boost to club funds. Waterside Bowling Club caters for all Hythe Shed (at the Pier) An area where men {and women) can meet to mend, repair, and socialise over a cup of tea, and to pass on knowledge and skills. e Hythe Shed (at the pier) is open to all to apply by invitation for membership. e main aim of this shed is: 1. To help with the repair and restoration of the train, carriages and pier where skills to do so are available on an ongoing basis. 2. To mend, repair or make their own project, without pressure, and socialise in a friendly environment over tea, co ee and biscuits. MEMBERSHIP - A completed membership application form to be considered by the committee. Membership to be £10 per year to cover overheads (rent, rates, electric etc), with a daily attendance fee of £2 for tea, co ee and biscuits, pro ts, to be reinvested in the shed and it’s projects. No smoking, vaping or alcohol on the premises. ACCESS - e shed will be open on a Wednesday from 10am until 4pm to assess how the membership then wishes to proceed. ere is limited parking on site as it is the garage’s forecourt, there is an NFDC car park across the road in Brinton Lane, and a bus stop at the driveway entrance. Public toilets are available near the bus stop. Any suggestions for improvement, future project, or social events etc are welcome and should be noti ed to a committee member.
