Harley Davidson Riders Raise £10,000 The End Motorcycle Club is one of the oldest biker clubs in the UK. Its members have just raised £10,000 for Oakhaven Hospice by refurbishing and raffling a beautiful 1200cc Harley Davidson Sportster which belonged to their much loved friend and fellow member Pete Welland, who died under the care of Oakhaven two years ago. is amazing total which they raised by selling ra e tickets will now pay for over 150 hours of care for people in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside community who are now approaching the end of their own lives. ere was a real sense of community in the air as bikers from across the area rode out to attend the draw which took place on Sunday 6th September at the Harley Davidson showroom in Southampton. e winning ticket, drawn by Widow Dawn Welland revealed Stuart Barry from Hythe as the lucky winner. Presented with the cheque for £10,000 Melanie Stone, Oakhaven Events Manager was overwhelmed by the kindness and compassion demonstrated by the gathering of bikers and the enormity of what they had done in memory of their friend.
