Honeypot’s Big Give 2020 campaign during the first week of December was an amazing success. The challenging target to raise £100,000 in just 7 days was exceeded with the help of 368 generous donors and 5 amazing match funders, including The Childhood Trust. is funding will help Honeypot Children’s Charity continue to provide crucial support to isolated young carers age 5-12 with 2,500 places on their new Wrap-Round support services. Due to COVID-19 restrictions Honeypot has had to temporarily close their two residential respite houses, including Honeypot House just outside Blackfield. The charity has risen to the Honeypot Children challenges of 2020 and adapted their services significantly. Weekend and holiday online activity workshops and zoom ‘Afterschool Swarm’ sessions have proved very successful. Feedback from the children includes “ I don’t have much to do now but going to the Honeypot sessions makes me feel a lot better ”.
