As we all, hopefully, return to some form of normality, Smarties Parent & Toddler Group and Gateway IT for All are preparing to re-open in September. If you would like to meet them to see what they do before then, please go along to the Hythe of Activity Day on Saturday 7th August which is being held in the centre of Hythe. SMARTIES Parent & Toddler Group - starts 13th September Smarties is a thriving group welcoming all babies and toddlers together with their parent, grandparent or carer and will again be run by Christine Stares together with her group of volunteer helpers. The session runs from 9.30am-11am every Monday during term time & costs just £2. It is a very friendly group, and everyone is made welcome. As well as playtime there are cra sessions, singing, story time and juice and snack included. Both Smarties and Gateway will be run in accordance with Government guidelines applicable at the time. Christmas Tree Festival ey are intending, government restrictions permitting, to organise the extremely popular Christmas Tree Festival in Hythe again this year from Saturday 20th November to Sunday 5th December . e festival, which started 12 years ago with just 22 trees, has been held in St John’s Church Hythe annually, with over 60 trees and wreaths when it was last held in 2019. It has steadily grown in popularity to become an important community event loved by all, with visitors from far and wide. Decorated trees and wreaths are donated by local schools, playgroups, businesses, community groups and individuals. If you would like to contribute to the festival this year by donating a tree, please register your interest by emailing: hythe2000@gmail.com Gateway IT for All - starts 6th September On Monday afternoons from 1.30pm-3.30pm , providing IT tuition and help mostly on an individual basis depending on the client. e volunteer tutors have a huge range of skills between them and can help with word processing, database, le management, photo storage, internet access and online safety issues, as well as general help. Laptops/ iPad can be provided but they hope you will be able to bring your own. All this for just £3 per session and no need to book. HYTHE 2000 ACTIVITIES RESTART
