For more information call: 023 8020 7623 or email: office.fm.hurc@gmail.com Hythe Huddle – Dates for Your Diary DEMENTIA SERVICES IN ROMSEY THIS AUTUMN Members of Greenbuttercup CIC are delighted to announce that, in September, they will be re-starting their ‘Dementia Services’ in the Green Room at the Plaza eatre, Romsey. e Green Room is an accessible, COVID-secure venue. Parking is available behind the theatre in the non-numbered spaces, and entry is by the side entrance via the ramp. All volunteers are Dementia Friends, and Greenbuttercup CIC will continue to observe some COVID-19 precautions. If the COVID-19 situation changes again, they will observe all necessary government guidelines. eir aim is to make these sessions as welcoming and safe as possible. create a decorative container. Friday 17th September – The Reminiscence Activity Group will feature ‘Makes & Bakes’. Reminisce about your favourite cakes & biscuits, then have a go at decorating a cupcake with Kerry Harris from Sapphire Sugarcra . On the first Friday of the month , they are holding a fun ‘Arts & Crafts’ session from 10.30am-12.30pm for anyone living with Dementia and their relative/carer. No experience is necessary, and each month they will have a di erent activity for you to try - with something suitable for all abilities. ere is a charge of £3 per person, which covers all art materials, instruction, and tea/co ee with biscuits. If you are unsure as to whether ‘Arts & Cra s’ is for you, why not go along and have a go – the rst session is free. On the third Friday of the month , they are holding a series of Themed Reminiscence sessions - again from 10.30am–12.30pm for anyone living with Dementia and their relative/carer. ese sessions will be a mix of reminiscence, games and an activity or talk. ere will be something suitable for all abilities and stages of Dementia. ere will be a charge of £3 per person, which covers all activities, and tea/co ee with biscuits. The following sessions will be held in September: Friday 3rd September – The Arts & Crafts session will explore ‘Papercraft’. Have a go at making straws out of glossy magazine pages, and then use them to Age Concern New Forest Foot Clinics Understanding how important good foot care is to their clients, the foot clinics are still operating for local people aged 55+. They have taken many extra precautions to make them COVID-Safe. They also offer Toenail cutting for £20 or Toe & Fingernails for £25. e registered Podiatrists and Chiropodists are also able to give foot care advice and information on other treatments available. If you wish to book a foot care appointment, cancel, or amend one, please contact the o ce on: 023 8084 1199. A message can be le on the answer machine if necessary and they will return your call. Waterside Good Neighbours volunteers could help with transport if required.
