Jake was born with cerebral palsy and other complex medical needs. Mum Kate, who is a teacher at Waterside Primary School, and Dad Nick who works for Hampshire County Council, threw everything into making sure Jake had everything he needed. It was through the support network the family had created that Kate was introduced to Sebastian’s Action Trust. Kate, Nick and the family stayed at the Bluebells several times, enjoying everything it had to o er, speci cally the hydrotherapy pool. e Bluebells, situated in North Waltham, is the UK’s only purpose built facility, o ering accessible breaks exclusively to the families of seriously-ill children, and where possible, to those who are recently bereaved. Kate never thought she would need the bereavement side of Sebastian’s Action Trust.
