Together with clients and customers digging deep they raised a whopping £800 for e Handy Trust by holding a Charity Bake Sale and Ra e. e ra e prize was a beautiful cake made by Rheas Cakes and as luck would have it the draw was won by the Admin No.1 o ce themselves - who kindly donated the cake to e Handy Trust for them to enjoy. ank you to everyone who participated and to those who contributed to this amazing local charity who works to improve the lives of children and young people in our community. For more information about e Handy Trust charity visit: www.thehandytrust.co.uk The beautiful cake by Rhea’s Cakes raffled off in aid of The Handy Trust Holbury Manor WI are a small but very friendly group, whose membership ranges from women in their 30’s to the more mature! Usually they meet on the 4th Monday of every month at 7.30pm at e Good Shepherd Community Hall, Roewood Road, Holbury, SO45 2JN. They’re still meeting regularly – but virtually (via Zoom instead of face to face) and are currently planning their Meeting Schedule on a rolling 3 month basis. Their next meeting is scheduled for Monday 22nd November for Annual cra ing session – Mosaics! Their Craft Club next meeting is on T hursday 16th December for Annual Christmas Cra Session. COVID-19 restrictions permitting, this will be the traditional face-to-face Prosecco morning hosted by Tracy. Their Book Club runs monthly, 1st Thursday of the month , starting at 7.30pm (Zoom). On T hursday 2nd December with e Vanishing Half by Britt Bennett, hosted by Margaret Read (a er the book discussion they will select the books for the next period). Visitors are always welcome and with no obligation to join, so why not give it a go? HOLBURY MANOR WI Kicking For Victory Following the Charity football match held at Clay elds in September between Hythe & Dibden Veterans and the Saints Old Boys, a cheque of £1,000 was presented by Dave and Vanessa Cox (Chairman and Secretary of Hythe & Dibden FC) to Ann McDonald and Jay Inge of e Waterside Cancer Support Centre and the remaining half of the proceeds given to the Saints OB Association for Left to Right: Jay Inge, Ann McDonald, Dave and Vanessa Cox distribution to its chosen charities. A crowd of over 400 witnessed an entertaining match with the Saints coming out on top 4-3 with a late winner. A er two close matches with a victory each the Club hope for a decider in 2022! A very successful evening with thanks to all involved and especially Simon and Emma (organisers), Claire, Su and Martin (very busy bar sta ), Wayne & Lewis (cuisine), Dom, Sam, Phil, Paul (a er match food) and the compere without compare Marc.
