A daisy chain would adorn your sweet neck, Alas springtime is still in our daydreams. en da odils will nod their heads in time, As the tulips like sentries will stand on guard. Primroses and cowslips in shaded woods, I will pick to go on your window cill. And as we walk through elds of buttercups, Pink and white clover will hide in the grass. HELLO by Margaret Bell Hello! she shouted from behind her mask, Who is it I wondered I dare not ask! She is far more than the two metres apart… If I had my specs on it would be a good start.. How are you? She said with a high pitched voice, Getting on with it really, we have no choice, I tried to make out who this lady could be, She obviously thought that she knew me! I must have looked with the blankest of eyes, But the mask she is wearing is a perfect disguise… I’m sorry I said I can’t see who you are, Maybe it’s because you are a metre too far.. It’s me she said you must remember me! I’m sorry I don’t forgive me please, She took down her mask and revealed her face, When parking her car I gave her my space. Oh! I said that was some while ago, Yes she said but I was grateful you know, No problem I said it was busy that day, Just needed to thank you, and just had to say…. How she remembered me I’ll never know! One good deed, just goes to show, I said goodbye and gave a laugh, And said there is a smile beneath this mask… HERALD RECRUITMENT You slumbering gardeners, time to rise, Awake and see those brightening skies.
