Perhaps as to a summers day, e breeze against my face Blowing my troubles all away. e ancient old oak tree Deep rooted and so strong, A thrush upon the bough, Rejoicing with its song. e bravest little snowdrop. Boldly bursting into spring Relying on the warmth e midday sun will bring. Or the gentle silent snow ake ❄ at melts into your skin, Disappearing without a trace Creating a precious glow within. It is as sweet as pure honey. Freshly taken from the bee, More intense than the brightest star ⭐ Lasting for eternity. Mother Nature has given all To love and protect her earth, And as for your maternal love Words cannot express its worth. Come on now you have to get up, It’s no use you laying there in a huff! You need to have breakfast you can’t go without, And a nice cup of tea or strong coffee no doubt! Now we’ve arrived and you have plenty of time… The way you are feeling, well it isn’t a crime, But try to smile and maybe move a bit faster, I know school is a bore but you are the Headmaster!! Little things Mean so much A look a smile a cuddle Or that special gentle touch Little things to pick you up When you’re down and so upset With remorse perhaps regret And you’re feeling so alone On your own Little things To pick you up Little things that matter Things that change your luck Like a coffee or a tea With good friends For company Things that mean so much To so many So many little things Happen every day Some we see some we don’t As we go along our way Recognise the little things See the joy a rainbow brings Or a bumblebee With beating wings Little things each day Little things Like a shooting star Or the smile That says I love you In an overcrowded bar Little things Like a baby’s cry Or the first snowdrops of spring Beneath the bluest of blue skies Simple little things Can mean so very much A lovely look a cuddle Or a special gentle touch Little things Can happen every day Take each opportunity Never let them slip away Any day! Little Things by David K Wilson We went to the forest for a picnic at a designated site but what we found when we got there oh my goodness it did give us a fright. It wasn’t the rubbish le on the table it was what we found underneath, for someone from a previous picnic had forgotten their false teeth. now in the past I’ve seen false teeth in a glass I’ve even seen them soaking in a cup, but seeing them in the middle of the table, sort of smiling, well I nearly threw up! Well we couldn’t enjoy our picnic with those teeth sat looking at us, even though the kids thought it was funny and couldn’t understand the fuss. Well we reported the nd to the Forest Ranger who said something like “good grief! “We have had some strange things left in the forest but that’s the first set of false teeth.” Normally we nd burnt out motor cars or rubbish dumped by y tippers all of which spoils the woodlands for the tourist and day trippers. so remember when you come to the forest would you please be so kind, take all your rubbish home and only leave your footprints behind.
