Although dry the day was very grey and overcast, the temperature was also much lower. e game was a ‘Bowmaker’. is game consists of teams of three players, playing in a Stableford format. e best two scores per hole make up the team score for taking part in the Bowmaker and the results were as follows: 1st Ian Blandford/John Bailey/Mike Webb - 87pts, 2nd Dave Kellaway/Ray Dunkason - 85pts, 3rd Brian Lewis/Barry Walker/Richard Short - 83pts. As can be seen there were only two players in the team that came second. To allow for this, the team played three balls between them and took the best two results as the team score. BRAMSHOTT HILL SENIORS RESULTS that hole. ere were 35 Seniors Bringing Festive Cheer to Fawley Communities ExxonMobil Fawley has been helping to spread some festive cheer around its neighbouring communities. It made donations totalling almost £5000 to local charities and organisations to help them in a number of Christmas projects. Fawley Parish Council has used its donation to buy battery powered LED lights for the Christmas tree in Black eld on the grassed area in front of Sainsbury’s and a further 10 trees in planters were placed around the Kennels Corner roundabout. e Fawley Events Committee bought special new banners for the Village Yuletide Christmas Fayre, with new branding, as well as A5 lea ets and posters to publicise the event. e Handy Trust received over £1,500 towards two festive projects. e rst was a Christmas party for local children in Netley View with the money funding food, activities and decorations for the party and a gi for each child. e second event was a partnership project working with the Waterside community called the Waterside Christmas Appeal which supports local families in need to buy Christmas presents and food, ensuring they could enjoy the Christmas spirit without the added nancial burden and stress. Extra festive sparkle was also taken to Waterside families in the form of the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine which has been delighting the community for 40 years! ExxonMobil Fawley helped fund a new generator which powererd the festive lights on the re engine which toured the local community in the run up to Christmas. e Fawley complex also donated 3000 selection boxes which were given out to youngsters along the re engine’s route from Marchwood to Calshot. e festive fun started on 2nd December at the Orchard Infant School’s Christmas fete and ran until 23rd December.
