Emily is one of the people supported by the Trust and she really enjoys working in the gardens.  e people who work and tend to the gardens have learning disabilities and they will have the opportunity of being actively involved in the business, contributing to the success of the Real Jam and Chutney Company. In all, the Trust is looking to raise £2000. If more is raised, the extra funds will help to support training and skills development in more of the Trust’s social businesses – helping people with learning disabilities. Josh is the apprentice chef and the business also o ers volunteering, training, and work experience opportunities on the Trust’s Step up for Work programme for people with learning disabilities. Josh says about his new role in the kitchens at Minstead Lodge “I have always wanted to be a chef and now I am learning how to do that”.
