Based in Eling, in the beautiful garden of quali ed practitioner Nicola Jayne, Tranquil Tree Hut o ers proven and e ective therapy for children who are showing signs of anxiety by encouraging each side of their brain to work together to process di cult or painful memories by combining drawing and talking. Drawing and talking therapy can help people with underlying emotional di culties that may be a ecting their learning, behaviour, self-esteem and relationships, where their full potential is not being realised either academically or socially. Nicola comments: “Drawing and Talking enables a child to express, in a visual form, worries from deep in the mind that they would not be able to talk about. Very often children don’t always know what is wrong themselves. Drawing enables symbolic and safe expression of deep worries and feelings that may seem scary to a child.” Sessions are held in the safe environment of the Tranquil Tree Hut and tailored to respect the child’s own pace and current emotional state. e child sets the pace and decides what to bring to the session.
