It was followed by a very delicious a ernoon tea. is enjoyable event took place in East Boldre Village Hall. e club has planned a monthly programme to include a Spring Show in April and a Summer show in July, visits to gardens, sociable events and talks which may take place in either East Boldre Village Hall or Beaulieu Village Hall. e next meeting will be on Tuesday 21st March, 7.30pm in East Boldre Village Hall when Mike Read, a well-known and very knowledgeable naturalist, will talk on ‘Nature of the Vercors – a secret corner of France’. e Spring Show will be held on Saturday 1st April in Beaulieu Village Hall at 2.15pm. On Thursday 6th April, 7.30pm in Beaulieu Village Hall, Martyn Cox will give a talk on ‘ e Hidden World of Fruit’. Seed Swap in Southampton Southampton Seed Swap is taking place on Sunday 12th March, 11am to 3pm at e Art House, 178 Above Bar Street, Southampton, SO14 7DW. Entrance is by donation (£3 suggested). ere will be a seed swap table to swap seeds or make a seed donation as well as heritage seeds for a suggested £1 donation.
