Visitors to the Café will receive a warm welcome and a supportive environment for re ection and conversation; a place to nd mutual support and encouragement. e kettle is always on with tea, co ee and a variety of cakes (including a gluten-free option) served by a friendly team of volunteers. TABLE TOP SALES Every 2 weeks on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12noon there’s a great Table Top Sale at Cornerstone Hythe URC in New Road. ere is always a great selection of Electricals, Jewellery, Collectables, Kitchenware, Glassware, Bags, Toys, Puzzles, Brica-brac and an extensive library of Paperback Books, CDs, and DVDs. All proceeds go to the Cornerstone Outreach Fund supporting mission and outreach locally, in the UK and overseas. e next sale will take place on Tuesday 21st March. Co ee, tea, and biscuits are always available in the Foyer too! Soup & Sweet at Trinity Church, Hazel Farm Road, Totton, SO40 8WU takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12.30pm to 2pm. For £4 per person you can have soup with a bread roll followed by a sweet and a tea or co ee. Very good value in congenial company – they hope to see you there! Soup & Sweet St Teresa’s Church Hall in Totton (20 Beaumont Road, SO40 3AL) will be open as a warm space every Monday from 12noon to 3.30pm, as well as a warm welcome there will be soup, rolls, biscuits, tea and coffee available free of charge. e hall is 50 yards above the church, behind the Priests house in the car park. Warm Space in St Teresa’s Church Hall Waterside Ladies Probus News ey welcomed a talented orist, Andrea Hilliard, to their meeting on 8th February. A er an amusing talk of her experiences running her ower shop in Shirley for eleven years she demonstrated how to make a tied bouquet with an attractive bow. She then kindly presented this to their longest serving and eldest member, Audrey Wilson. 12th April when John Edwards is giving a talk and demonstration of ‘French Impressionists and their techniques’ in the medium of so pastel. All meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at Dibden Golf Club from 10.30am. Co ee is followed by a short business meeting, a speaker and a two course lunch. e meetings normally end at approximately 1.30pm. On the following day 28 of them (including 5 supportive men folk) held the annual President’s Lunch at Le Chateau. e food was delicious and they can’t praise Paul and Toni Eaton and their sta enough for the way they looked a er everyone. Their next meeting will be on Wednesday Lepe Easter Craft Fair Go along to Lepe Country Park this Easter, when they will be holding their rst cra fair of the year in the classroom opposite the sensory garden. ey will have a range of handmade gi s, made by cra ers from the local community. From wood turning to honey and greeting cards to natural skin care products, there will be lots of unique items to browse and buy, so hop along to the Easter cra fair on Saturday 1st April from 10am to 2pm. Free to enter cra fair but usual car parking charges apply. Earthquake Appeal Hythe and Waterside Rotary would like to share information from Rotary District 1110 International Service Team regarding donating to the Turkish/ Syrian earthquake appeal. If you would like a safe and secure way to donate, the Rotary Club of Cowes is receiving donations and will ensure all funds will be used to support on-the-ground relief e orts and to help those a ected by this disaster.
