To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Motor Museum, explore the exhibition telling The Story of Motoring in 50 Objects until 16th April. Discover the top 50 objects which were chosen from over 1.9 million items in the internationally-acclaimed collection cared for by the National Motor Museum Trust. Only the most historically important vehicles, motoring artefacts, lm footage, images, documents and books made the nal selection. From stunning Land Speed Record breaker Golden Arrow, which was chosen for its tremendous aircra power in a car, to the 1911 Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy mascot, cat’s eyes and a 1920s children’s book telling the story of charabanc rides which carried workers on day trips to the seaside . . . all help to tell the story of motoring. For details and tickets please visit: beaulieu.co.uk Copythorne Carnival Events e annual Copythorne Carnival, organised by the 2nd New Forest North (Stanley’s Own) Scout Group, is shaping up to be another wonderful event with a few additions to this year’s programme. Wednesday 7th June will be the rst Fancy Dress Horse Ride at 7pm leaving from the White Hart in Cadnam, with 5 di erent classes and a theme of Stage and Screen. Saturday 10th June is Carnival Day starting at 1pm in the Scout Field at Copythorne, with various stalls, food, rides, dog show, steam engine tug of war and judging of the carnival oats before the parade at 5pm, followed by the Carnival Evening with beer tent, BBQ and live music from e Scene, e Frontliners and Sophie Penwill. Sunday 11th June is Rally Day and Cra Market, 11am – 4pm at Copythorne Scout Hut, with cars, bikes, tractors, steam engines and more. As well as live demonstrations, workshops and the New Forest Makers Market. Finally to round o the event is the Carnival 5k & 10K run at 7.30pm on Monday 12th June.
