Minstead Trust is once again holding its ever popular murder mystery dining event, this time at the Macdonald Botley Park hotel. It is being held on Friday 10th November, and the fun packed performances are brought to you by James and his team from Organise Events Ltd. e story for the night is ‘Lord Duxbury’s Christmas Party’ and will be acted out as you relax and dine at your tables. You too can dress up in 1920’s garb if you wish, as you watch the action and help to solve the crime with the help of the characters and clues. All pro ts from the night are supporting Minstead Trust. ese events have been continually popular, being a fun way to enjoy a dining experience with friends, colleagues and family and raise money for charity at the same time. With its Christmas themed story, it could even be your o ce Christmas party! ere will be the opportunity to purchase ra e tickets on the night too. e Botley Park hotel has plenty of parking, and the event itself is being held in their Fair Oak suite with its own entrance and bar. Forest Follies On Saturday 14th October Forest Follies Quilt Group are again having a Quilt Exhibition and Cra Sale at Black eld Baptist Church Hall in Black eld, 10am -3pm. ere will be tables selling various cra items, all made by talented local ladies in the Waterside area. Also quilting fabric for quilters. Although the quilt display may be a little smaller than in previous years, it will still be as beautiful as ever, with new ideas etc to show! Light refreshments will be available. e venue is on a bus route and has easy parking, they are on the Lepe Beach and Country Park road (approx 3 miles) and about 2 miles from Exbury Gardens. Beaulieu village is approx 4 miles away, so a whole day out can be enjoyed! A quilt will be ra ed for the MS Society at 3pm, and entry is 50p per adult (accompanied children under 16 free).
