She was a longstanding member of the group having joined in 1970, and a member of the committee for ten of those years. With her wonderful sense of humour, she was a loyal participant and backbone of the club. She will be sadly missed. e Group enjoyed an interesting talk by Paul Stickler in October on e Green Bicycle Murder. eir next meeting will be on Friday 17th November when they will enjoy making Christmas Cra s. Remembering Joan Peach Beggar’s Belief Concert Treat yourself to a relaxing, entertaining and harmony‐rich break from the hurly‐burly! Beggar’s Belief (Ali Campion, Barry Wake, Hamish Gavin, Liz Trueman and Mary Lee) o er you songs old and new, with ample opportunities for audience participation. e group are returning to Mottisfont Village Hall on Thursday 7th December at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm. eir performances have light‐hearted moments aplenty and the occasional thought‐ provoking lyric thrown in for good measure, adding up to a thoroughly entertaining performance. Beggar’s Belief With temperatures starting to drop and the price of heating homes still a worry for many, there are warm spaces opening up again in the local area.
