Donation buckets will be at the event for collections. Come and Join Carols on the Marina From Hythe Marina Association at festive time of year is fast approaching when our thoughts turn to family, Christmas songs and Santa. Please join with the community to celebrate the season by lling your hearts, and lungs with song. e annual Christmas Concert on the Marina will be held on Friday 15th December at 6.30pm in the centre of Hythe Marina. We are grateful, once again, to have the New Forest Brass Band play your favourite holiday songs. e always popular Beaulieu Warblers will be there. ere may even be a big man in a red suit joining the festivities. You never know! Please join with your neighbours and kick o the festive season with song. is is a free event but a donation for the local food bank would be appreciated. Carols on the Marina 2022 Merry in Marsh Parade What nicer way to spend an evening before Christmas than with songs from stage and screen and lots of festive music all surrounded by Christmas trees? at’s what’s on o er when the local ladies choir, New Forest Sounds, present their Christmas concert in St John’s Church, Hythe at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6th December. Tickets are £8 each to include refreshments available on the door or from choir members. A donation will be given to e Handy Trust who support young people in the area. It will be a lovely, relaxed and friendly evening, so do go along and enjoy yourself. You will be very welcome. SONGS FOR THE SEASON Hang a bauble in memory of your loved ones on the Christmas tree in Hythe outside the ferry again this year. As part of the Mistletoe Fayre, Waterside Cancer Support Centre will be supplying wooden baubles for you to write your message and hang on the tree from 10am on 2nd December. ey will also have their usual Christmas Fayre in St John’s Hall on the same day. Go and warm up with a bacon roll and hot drink, try your luck in the bottle tombola and Christmas Ra e, stock up on cakes and gi s whilst getting your little one’s face painted with their favourite theme. From 10am to 2.30pm. Nestled alongside e Frame Shop and opposite Hythe & District Social Club in Marsh Parade, Hythe, you will nd Richard ropp busy upholstering and restoring your pieces of furniture. at Waterisde Furnishings Specialising in Antique, Modern and Marine repairs, Richard has been rejuvenating your beloved items for over 15 years. Not only does he work on commissions but there is also a wonderful selection of furniture in the shop on sale that he has ‘brought back to life’. With leather suites from £250, tables and chairs priced as low as £30, you might just pick yourself up a bargain, knowing it has also been lovingly restored. Par tt & Sons and Steve from e Frame Shop are passionate about supporting local events and bringing people together and this year’s Mistletoe Fayre is no exception. Merry in Marsh Parade will be happening once again on 2nd December from 10am-4pm with stall holders selling locally produced gi s and cra s. ere will be music playing throughout the day with Lymington Town Band playing those Christmas Classics; Hythe Primary School Choir will also perform in the morning and e Jingle Ladies in the a ernoon. Hythe Club will be providing free tea and co ee throughout the day. Any donations raised this year will be going to Prostate Cancer and the ladies cancer charity Look Good Feel Better – a charity that Adrienne volunteers for.
