Marchwood residents can now look forward to a beautiful purple carpet of crocuses in the spring, thanks to a donation of 4000 crocus corms from Hythe & Waterside (H&W) Rotary. Volunteers from H&W Rotary were joined by residents and children from Marchwood, along with Councillors and ground sta , who planted the corms on the green opposite e Roebuck. anks go to the Marchwood Mens’ Shed for making the signage in record time and to resident Lisa who made purple cupcakes. Polio has not been eradicated in all countries, and Rotary continues to raise awareness of this. e Romsey & Waterside Lions recently made a £250 food donation to Romsey Foodbank which included Christmas treats for parents and children. e Lions support three local foodbanks at regular intervals throughout the year and have also made similar Christmas donations to the Waterside Foodbank and Lordshill Foodbank.
