Continued from front page Local Man Steps In to Take Marathon Place for Cousin Tony Norris from Dibden Purlieu is working hard training for this year’s London Marathon, running on behalf of his cousin Poala, who had secured a spot to run for the Salvation Army. Sadly due to a knee injury, Tony Norris Tony has endured his own running setbacks, a er su ering a mini stroke in 2022, but is now back on track and determined to make his family proud. He will be running in honour of Poala’s late father, who was a keen marathon runner, her Grandfather who used to enjoy nothing more than listening to the Salvation Army Brass Band, whenever he had the chance and Tony’s Nan. e Salvation Army provides specialist support to protect and care for all adult survivors of modern slavery in England and Wales; extending a helping hand to those who are homeless, lonely and in need. ey run clothing and food banks to name a few and they believe passionately that no one is beyond hope, however great their challenges.
