It starts at 7.45pm at the Hythe and Dibden Community Centre. Being the rst talk of the year why not become a member of the Historians and enjoy ten talks during the year for just £15, where as visitors pay £3 per talk. ere is a charge of £5 per year for membership and use of the Community Centre. e talks for 2024 range from the Medieval world to the RAF and the Spit re and from aspects of Southampton’s history to a talk on a hall in Dibden Purlieu which recently celebrated its centenary and what can be discovered by investigating the images on a photograph. Adventurous Artists Sketching on Wednesday 17th January at 2pm and a Still Life Evening on Wednesday 24th January, 7.30pm. Membership subs are due. On Tuesday 13th February there will be an Art Extra Workshop, 2pm to 4pm, £3. All evening meetings are held at the ree Score Club (SO40 3RS) at 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Tea and co ee with a biscuit are available. Visitors are welcome to go along on the night for a small fee of £4pp. Tuesday Art Workshops take place at Calmore Community Centre, Calmore Drive, Calmore, Southampton SO40 2ZU for members only £3 per session. Meetings start at 7.30pm and are held in the Lyndhurst Community Centre, central car park, High Street, Lyndhurst SO43 7NY (doors open at 7pm). Two eld trips are planned. From 10am to 1pm on Saturday 6th January the venue is Blashford Lakes, near Ringwood (SU 151 084). Meet at the reserve’s Tern Hide free car park. From 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 24th January the group will visit Stanpit Marsh, Christchurch (SZ 172 925), meeting at the free car park. Have a Go at Quilting Romsey Quilters is a large and happy not-forpro t group which meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings of the month at Cros eld Hall (SO51 8GL) in Romsey from 9.30am for 10am until 12.30pm. Co ee is served between 9.30am and 9.55am. e group enjoys a variety of speakers, workshops, working mornings, friendship and welcomes anyone interested in quilting and associated cra s. e next meetings will take place on Tuesday 9th January for Jen Best - Wandering Needle (plus Shop – Beaker Button).
