For some extra Christmas joy, ExxonMobil donated 3,000 Cadbury selection boxes for the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine volunteers to hand out to the children in the community. Students at Noadswood School helped the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine team to attach Christmas greeting stickers from ExxonMobil on to the selection boxes. Community engagement is a large part of the Life/ Flexible Learning provision at Noadswood, as well as stickering the selection packs, the students also helped to deliver yers with the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine dates to local residents who may not have access to the internet. Head Elf and Owner of the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine, Pat Canning said: “Thank you to the wonderful team at ExxonMobil Fawley who once again provided selection boxes for us to pass out to the children of the local community, and a huge thank you to the students at Noadswood School who attached stickers to an impressive 3,000 selection boxes for us!” e Waterside Christmas Fire Engine volunteers are still counting all the donations from the 2023 rounds, look out for an update on how much they raised in a future issue of e Herald. Waterside Christmas Fire Engine and volunteers Noadswood Students Orchard Infants Bring Festive Cheer to Elderly in the Community Children in Orchard Infants Performing Arts (OIPA) at Orchard Infants School brought festive cheer to the elderly in the local community in December. e children in years 1 and 2 walked to e Horrill Care and Wellbeing Centre from their school in Dibden Purlieu on 5th December to sing to the day visitors and later in the same week on 8th December the children walked to Muir House in Dibden Purlieu to perform to the residents there. Led by Helen Kempsey, the children sang a variety of Christmas songs including a mix of both traditional carols and more modern Christmas songs. Music Lead Andy Bowie said: “It was so wonderful to see the children perform with such confidence to the older members of our community.
