A Neighbourhood Plan is a legal document that puts in place the community’s planning wishes for Fawley in the future. e rst part of the process is consulting the community about what they would like to see, or not see from a planning point of view in Fawley in the future. e rst part of the Consultation is nding out a little about you (the form is anonymous so it’s only general questions) and how you use the area you live in. e second part is your opportunity to have your say. Have you ever said things like; ‘Why did they build that there?’, ‘I love that hedgerow, I hope they don’t remove it?’, ‘Why is the pavement not wider?’, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if they had connected those two footpaths so we could get from A to B?’ is is your opportunity to tell us what you love and want to protect, what you don’t like, and what you really wish we could have within Fawley. Your responses will be looked at and your planning related responses will be formulated into the Neighbourhood Plan. e completed plan will be put to referendum and if the local people vote for it the Fawley Neighbourhood Plan will become part of the NFDC Local Plan. is is a way to protect some of your beloved landscapes or have a say in the design of new developments. opinions and contributions so please make sure that your voice is heard. e start is to let us know by lling in our survey. Hardcopies of the Consultation will be available at Gang Warily and Jubilee Hall, and will be distributed through schools, youth club, Not all of your loves, dislikes and wishes will fall under planning so Fawley Parish Council is proposing to put those into a Fawley Action Plan, which will help Council when planning other projects. We welcome your Doctor’s surgeries, shops, Foodbank etc. Or you can use this QR code to complete the form online (if you are using the phone tip it to portrait to see all the columns). Additionally, we will be doing some pop up roadshows at: Jubilee Hall Community Café 10am-noon on Thursday 4th April and 2nd May, 25th April 12noon – 4pm at St Georges Chapel Calshot, Vibrant Brewery, 4pm-7pm on 10th May and Emergency Services Day 25th May at Gang Warily. e deadline is Friday 28th May 2024. Results will be shared on the Parish Council website or emailed to you if you leave your details at the end of the survey. Please allow us some time to collate all the responses! Quiz Stars Take a Bow A recent quiz night held by Dibden Golf Club was won by ‘Rotary Plus’, a team consisting of Hythe & Waterside Rotarians Craig Webber, Jim Whitehouse, Terri Whitehouse and Ian Wheeler together with supporters Christine, Sandra and Steve. e quiz was well organised and popular with approximately 10 teams competing. A half-time curry was enjoyed while teams completed a picture round. Team captain Ian Wheeler said: “This was a great team effort with everyone playing their part. We hope to all be together again for the next quiz night to defend our title!”.
