Perhaps they need to build their con dence a little? Or do they just want to socialise while having fun with like-minded youngsters? anks to funding from Children in Need, Forest Forge eatre Company are thrilled to o er free drama sessions on e Waterside. Forest Forge is well known for o ering high quality youth theatre and believes that cost need not be a barrier to any young person interested in being creative. e sessions are fun and inclusive, with an emphasis on playing theatre games, learning drama skills, creating stories, and developing performance techniques. All of this is done through a playful and creative atmosphere, with opportunities for them to create their very own performances. Lisa Halpin, who runs the groups says “I feel it’s really important that all young people get a chance to take part in drama, to express themselves, be creative and to play. The money we get from Children in Need offers this chance.” One of the groups regular participants commented: “I’ve got more confidence since coming here and have made new friends. It makes me happy.” No previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to jump in and have a go! ere are two sessions available with Lisa Halpin at the Royal British Legion on Wednesday evenings: the rst session for ages 7-11 between 4.45pm - 5.45pm; and the second session for ages 11-16 from 6pm -7.15pm.
