From Waterside Craft Club If you are over 18, love cra ing, learning di erent cra s, sharing new cra s, meeting new friends, chatting and laughing, come and join us at Waterside Cra Club. We meet every Thursday from 12.30pm to 3pm at the Sea Scout Hut, Shore Road in Hythe. Sessions range from £2 for social (bring your own cra and join us for refreshments) to £5 for tutored sessions. is is a mixed ability group. We welcome everyone from experts to complete beginners. We are also keen to attract those with di erent interests and experiences so we can all learn from each other. Each week you can choose whether to work on an individual project or join that week’s cra tutorial, which over the course of the year will cover di erent elements of cra ing using various materials. We are an open and friendly group with one thing in common. WE LOVE TO GET CRAFTY Here’s a summary of our recent creations: Denim tote bags step by step: Taking an old pair of damaged jeans, a pillow case and some webbing, Join us when you can and nd a mindful way to have fun with like-minded people. we each made our own denim cross body tote bag step by step. We learnt how to prepare the jeans, how to cut out using a template and how to sew a lined bag with a boxed bottom and using the birthing method. Decorating jeans and jackets: We had some fun with embroidery, gluing gems, fabric painting and sewing trims onto jeans and denim jackets to give them some personality and bling. A perfect way to get a fun and unique item to wear to your next concert, gig or party! Rags to Riches: Continuing our charity project, we gave unloved clothing items a new life making completely new items like bowls and bags and painting glass objects to make desirable unique designer pieces for the home.
