A fantastic evening was had by all and £600 was raised to be split between two local charities. On Tuesday 8th October, Rotarian Ian Wheeler met with Maureen Robb, Centre Manager of the Wessex Cancer’s Waterside Cancer Support Centre in Hythe and during the visit he con rmed the £300 donation. Maureen Robb said “We are so grateful to Hythe and Waterside Rotary for organising this great event on our behalf. We rely on donations and fundraising to continue to provide cancer wellbeing support to people in the local community, so we’re delighted to receive this generous donation, which will enable us to be there for them through their cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery.” Hythe & Waterside Rotary are very grateful to the A MOMENT IN TIME Hythe and District Historians nal meeting of the year is given by Gordon Chambers. e title is ‘A moment in time; A photo’. e photo shows a group of men some in religious clothing. Who are they, where is it taken and when, and why are they there. Gordon will give the answers in his talk and show other images to explain. e talk takes place at the Hythe and Dibden Community Centre on Thursday 5th December from 7.45pm.
