Rotarians David Saunders and Craig Webber attended a full school celebration assembly at Waterside Primary School, where they presented Year 4 students with their illustrated dictionaries. e project itself is in its 14th year and over a million books have been donated to date. One of the most positive aspects of being able to use a dictionary is that it helps to develop autonomy and con dence in the learner which is one of the core goals of education. It promotes books and the printed word as well as becoming a “possession” for the child.
