The indoor market has been running for over 30 years, o ering a wide variety of stalls from local cra ers and sellers. e regular stalls include handmade gi s for babies and children, jewellery, homemade cakes, preserves and jams, greetings cards, wooden fairy doors and trinket boxes, wind chimes and more! You can also take a break from the shopping whilst you are there and enjoy a hot drink and a bacon bap or slice of cake from the café run by volunteers from St John’s Church. The Enchanted Cinema Brings The Snowman to Life through Music Become part of a pop-up orchestra who create every single sound FX and the musical score for classic Diane Jackson tale of e Snowman with e Enchanted Cinema on Sunday 1st December, 3.30pm at Hythe and Dibden Parish Hall. Everyone gets a chance to be involved if they choose to, the session starts with a vocal warm-up to prepare for the unforgettable Walking in the Air sequence. e Enchanted Cinema will then lead a workshop to help create sound FX for di erent parts of the lm including an owl, a toothbrush, a whale, the sea, a musical box, a running tap, feet jumping through the snow, and a tearaway motorbike – all equipment and instruments are provided, apart from your own singing voice! e interactive workshop is followed by a screening of Dianne Jackson’s magical animation, e Snowman, which was rst shown over 40 years ago. To end this festive treat, audiences are warmly welcomed onto the stage to meet the artists and try out any instruments, or leaf through a copy of the original Raymond Briggs children’s book. Go along to e Enchanted Cinema as Hythe and Dibden Parish Council kick o Hythe’s rst ever Children’s Cinema. More details to follow in the weeks leading up to Christmas!
