Totton Lantern Parade is year’s Totton Lantern Parade takes place on Sunday 1st December. ere will be stalls and a fair open from 2pm in the Memorial car park. e parade will start at 5pm, and will be walking through both the Memorial and Library car parks. e event organisers are still looking for sponsorship to keep this amazing event going, if you would like to make a donation please visit their go fund me page: gofund.me/454b5be7 Eyeworth Walk Lights Big Switch On e Eyeworth Walk Lights big switch on is taking place on 30th November at 5pm with the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine, music and snow! e lights, music and snow will be on each evening until 1st January, from 4.30pm – 7pm, raising money for the Wessex Cancer Trust’s Waterside Cancer Support Centre and Hythe Pier Heritage Association (HPHA). Santa will also be there from 20th-24th December. A ra e draw will take place on Christmas Eve with tickets on sale every night in the run up. Last year’s display Waterside Repair Café If you have an item sitting at home, not working, bring it along to the Waterside Repair Café on the last Saturday of each month, the next session will be on 30th November. eir volunteers will do their best to repair it and if they can’t they might know someone who can. If your item is beyond repair the team will tell you the best way to dispose of it. From clocks, household electricals to umbrellas, they have seen it all. Go on down and say hello and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake while you wait. e Repair Café takes place on the last Saturday of each month at Black eld Baptist Church Hall. Print & Stitch at Lepe e next Print & Stitch session at Lepe Country Park will take place on Monday 2nd December, 10am–12noon. Create a decorative piece of work of your own design combining contact/ nature printing, lino stamps, frottage, Indian ink drawing and stitch on to a material base. Material, thread, stamps, and ink will be provided (non-washable ink). Bring your own needles and embroidery hoops if desired. Christmas Fayre at Cornerstone e Christmas Fayre at Cornerstone is on Saturday 7th December from 10am-2pm. It will be a great opportunity for nding those special Christmas gi s in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. ere’ll be a range of stalls with Christmas owers and plants, local art and cra s, cards and gi s, bookstall, cakes and preserves, toys and games, jigsaw puzzles, jewellery and lots more. In addition there will be children’s cra , games for fun, and of course co ee and mince pies and light lunches. And Father Christmas will be welcoming all in his Grotto! So not to be missed!
