This achievement is a testament to the dedication, expertise and unwavering commitment of the entire UTC team, who work tirelessly to provide exceptional care to the local community. During the rigorous CQC assessment process, the GP led service was meticulously scrutinised to check the safety and quality of healthcare services. From patient care to operational leadership, with the team demonstrating had to visit Emergency Departments. Mike Hodges Trustee and Joint Chair of Friends said: “As a charity, our main aim is to help the hospital to improve patient care and wellbeing. We are delighted that our fundraising for new diagnostic and monitoring equipment has helped the wonderful UTC team to achieve an Outstanding rating from the CQC.” e UTC’s success is also a testament to the strong partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospital Southampton. By working in partnership, the UTC has been able to deliver an outstanding level of care, which bene ts the wider patient community.
