Twinkling coloured lights inside and outside the iconic steam train; festive fun and a cascade of delightful snowfall in the surrounding countryside di erent colours and ashing patterns. e interactive experience will be hosted by the legendary ‘Voiceover Man’ (as heard on Britain’s Got Talent and X-Factor), who will keep everyone entertained with merry music, corny cracker jokes, and encourage passengers to compete against each other in the singalong FlashyOke game. e delightful Festive Canopy of Lights also returns this year in every carriage, bringing the light show inside the train to add to the thrilling atmosphere. e Watercress Line’s Christmas hits will play until 28th December; and from 29th December, there will be favourite pop anthems from the 1960s to present day, encouraging visitors to sing, dance, and make merry! Steam Illuminations lighting designer Simon Horn combined his knowledge of e Watercress Line with his technical expertise to create the GPS-enabled internal and external festive lighting display. He has worked with some of the UK’s greatest pop acts, including Westlife, Olly Murs and e Pogues on their light shows. e Steam Illuminations depart from either Alresford or Alton and complete a round trip. e journey lasts approximately 1 hour 45 minutes – and look out for the ‘singing’ Christmas trees at Alresford! Festive treat boxes, lled with delicious seasonal treats, and drinks boxes can be pre-ordered and collected on arrival at the station before departure.
