Project leader Andy Clarke and his Volunteers run drop-ins and visits to homes across the Waterside to show compassion to those struggling with the housing situations in our communities. It was with great pleasure that Hythe and Waterside Rotary (H&W) recently presented Andy with a donation of £500 in recognition of the work they do. A H&W Rotary spokesman said: “The Crossings offer Support for the Homeless Andy Clarke with Hythe & Waterside Rotary Immediate Past President Jim Whitehouse a warm welcome at each of their three venues in the Waterside, and services to bring hope and help against homelessness. We are delighted to be able to support this most worthwhile project”. Lions Supporting Local Young Carers Romsey Young Carers Charity are now in their 20th year of operation and currently support 167 young carers. Romsey & Waterside Lions presented a cheque for £750 to help the Charity buy Christmas presents for the young carers they support who are aged between 8 and 21 and live in Romsey and the Southern Test Valley area.
