Last summer, the New Forest HEAT (Home Energy Advice Team) Project was launched by New Forest Transition CIC, in partnership with Community Energy South, with the aid of funds from the New Forest District Council (NFDC) and the government’s Shared Prosperity Fund. A er training a team of over 50 volunteers during the autumn, the New Forest HEAT Project is now o ering home energy advice visits and thermal imaging surveys free of charge to anyone living within the NFDC boundary. Cathy Cook, New Forest HEAT Project said: “We have a really great team of volunteers spread right across the Forest. They are now trained up and are keen to help as many local people as possible with cutting their energy bills and staying warm over the rest of this winter. Our volunteers are already doing thermal imaging surveys of people’s homes as the winter is the perfect time for spotting where the heat is leaking out – it is really obvious on the camera screen.” If you’re interested to nd out more or to book a home visit and thermal imaging survey, please go to the New Forest HEAT Project website: www. theheatproject.org.uk and ll out the form on the Energy Surveys page - or call: 023 8028 3491.
