Oakhaven is at the heart of our local community, each year providing compassionate care for thousands of patients and specialist support for their families and loved ones. We’re here for everyone in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside, supporting them from the diagnosis of any life-limiting condition to being there for loved ones in bereavement. For many of us, a hospice will touch our lives, whether for ourselves, a loved one, or a friend, providing comfort, dignity, and expert care through life’s most challenging times. But this incredible support wouldn’t exist without you. We rely heavily on charitable donations to keep our doors open. We’re asking everyone to consider leaving Oakhaven a gi in their will. By doing so, you can help us continue to provide our vital care, ensuring that everyone has the support they need for generations to come. A gi of any size will help to ensure we are here to help people you love receive end-of-life care. Hospice care is free at the point of use. But, unlike the NHS, it is not fully statefunded. Currently, just 11% of Oakhaven’s annual running costs are covered by the government. With rising costs and growing demand for hospice services, these gi s are more important to us than ever. A gi in your will can help make sure we will be here to o er compassionate, free care to thousands of people and their families each year, now and in the future. Lindsay’s husband Richie received end-oflife care at Oakhaven, aged 42. She said: “No one truly knows how important Oakhaven really is until you need them. We all go through life, and we forget that this place is everything to someone right now. Oakhaven takes away that fear, desperation, and despair when you have no other support. We are so lucky to have it and we need to keep it. Your donation to Oakhaven isn’t just a gift – it’s a lifeline for families facing the unimaginable.” Help us continue our story and be here for anyone who needs us, for generations to come.
