If your business would like to sponsor a race or a donkey please email: 5thtestwooddonkeyderby@gmail.com Beaulieu Village Hall Open Day It’s nearly 50 years since e Beaulieu Estate donated the land that Beaulieu Village Hall was built on to the Beaulieu Village Community. e shack that Mary Montagu-Scott remembers going to Brownies in was also used by Mary’s grandmother Pearl, a key member of the local Women’s Institute. It was the demise of this building that led to the building of the Beaulieu Village Hall that opened in 1976. ere’s a lot of work to be done to return the Village Hall back to its former glory, hosting balls, weddings and dances as well as Young Farmers events. e rst fundraising event will be an Open Day taking place on Sunday 16th March, 10am–4pm, with a showcase of community opportunities, ideas and plans.
