In addition to their regular personal support activities each week, they also have the following interest talks: Monday 17th March – An overview of the NHS App, Monday 28th April – Spreadsheet basics - nothing too hard! An introduction to using your favourite spreadsheet application and Monday 19th May – Printing address labels step by step, feel free to take along a few of your own addresses, they will also have some ctitious ones to practice with. Each session costs just £4 and an additional £1.50 for co ee/tea with a delicious piece of cake. Tea and biscuits are available a er the talks, and the meetings end at approximately 3.30pm. eir next meeting is on Tuesday 18th March for a talk by Steve Herra titled ‘Body through the Porthole’. Followed on Tuesday 1st April for a talk by Jonathan Broom eld titled ‘World of Cheese’. New Forest and Waterside have many interest groups such as gardening, history, discussion, skittles and much more. ere is usually a luncheon once a month, twice a year at Brockenhurst College. Other activities have included a visit to Hilliers for the lights, Lepe House open garden, theatre trips, garden visits, local brewery visit, snowdrops at Welford, the Hawk Conservancy, Arundel Carpet of owers, the Waterside Heritage Centre, trips on Solent Dolphin, Winchester Christmas market and a Christmas lunch at South Lawns, Milford on Sea. Currently discussions are in progress about starting a Petong group, and a lunch has been organised at the Boathouse in Hythe. Co ee, tea and biscuits are always available in the Foyer too. All proceeds go to the Cornerstone Building Repairs Fund. e next sale is on 18th March. Set on the eve of WWII psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud invites Professor C.S. Lewis to debate the existence of God, Freud’s unique relationship with his daughter, and Lewis’. Tickets are £6 and available in advance from Mockingjay in the High Street, or on the door on show days. Art AGM e New Forest Art Society’s next monthly meeting is on Wednesday 19th March for their AGM. New members are always welcome and visitors are invited to go along for a small entry fee (£5). Meetings are held in the Pine Room at Lyndhurst Community Centre from 2.15pm until 4.15pm from November to February. (7.30pm-9.30pm March to October). Meetings are held at the Eastleigh Railway Institute, Romsey Road Eastleigh SO50 9FE and commence at 7.30pm. e room, on the rst oor (sorry no disabled access), is usually open from 7pm. A bar is available for refreshments. eir next meeting is on Wednesday 19th March for a talk titled ‘Tracks in the Mist’. A donation of £3 is usual to help with the costs of the speaker and room hire.
