Guests will be treated to an a ernoon of live music from the Goodnight Sweethearts, a special guest appearance by historian Dan Snow, and a delightful selection of traditional afternoon tea favourites, including sandwiches, cakes, tea and co ee. e event will take place from 1.30pm-4.30pm at Fawley RBL, Exbury Road, Blackfield (SO45 1XD). Entry is £5 per EASTER AND SPRING FLOWER WORKSHOPS she is always on hand to help and guide throughout the process. Classes are limited to a maximum of 15 to ensure everyone has the attention needed. In between her busy Wedding oral designing it has always been Jo’s passion to impart her years of experience in teaching others, whether it be for fun or for a future career. Last year saw the success of a Pumpkin oral design class and Christmas wreath workshops which were enjoyed by many. e next three workshops have now been arranged, the rst being a Mother’s Day experience (now fully booked). e next is just being launched which will be an Easter theme where clients will have the chance to make a wreath either for their door or as a centrepiece for the table. ere will be a further chance to be creative in May with a Spring Flowers workshop where basic oral arranging skills will be taught and a lovely oral design will be created to take home. Everyone who attends without fail always leaves with a sense of achievement and never realised they could be so creative and have enjoyed learning something new. Anything is possible with the right tuition and Jo makes sure that whatever level her participants are, Jo Hicks adult, £3 for children aged 5-14, and free for under 5’s. Tickets can be purchased directly from the Fawley & District Royal British Legion and are open to nonmembers, subject to any club restrictions. Following the a ernoon tea, guests can continue the celebrations with a disco in the main bar from 5pm. Join us as we come together to honour this historic occasion, share memories, and enjoy a wonderful afternoon of music, nostalgia, and community spirit. The Ampfield Market e Market is always held on the first Saturday of the month (excluding January and August which are holiday months). It takes place in Amp eld Village Hall (SO51 9BJ), between 10am and 12noon. Parking and admission are free. e Market has become a very popular meeting place, o ering the best value, most delicious refreshments in Hampshire! Every e ort is made to keep the sales tables lively and interesting. ere are top quality, locally sourced items for sale including cakes, biscuits, savoury foods, honey, fresh bread, eggs, plants, fruit and veg, cra s, books, cards, wrapping paper, jewellery and collectables. ey order their fruit and veg from Hansards a very reputable local supplier and they endeavour to sell a good variety of fresh, seasonal produce every month. Matt’s Bakery in Chandlers Ford also supply their bread each month. e Market generates almost £3,000 a year towards Village Hall funds. e Market team generously volunteer their time and baking skills to provide a delicious seasonal selection of cakes every month, which are served with co ee and tea throughout the morning. e next Amp eld Market will take place on Saturday 5th April between 10am and 12noon.
