Members were invited to submit three related images, producing a panel or triptych. e judge, Peter Orr, described Pete’s panel as having real impact with the di erent tones and patterns. Julie Cousens took second place with “Starlings Slow Motion”; Louise Sampson was third with “Southampton Bins!” Another of Pete Robertson’s panels was awarded a Seal of Merit and two panels by Brian Whittaker were also awarded Seals. Further Seals were awarded to Jackie Ridout and Stephen Cooper. Viewfinders meets most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury and new members, regardless of photographic experience, are always welcome. From the proceeds of the previous exhibition the Society donated £500 to e Air Ambulance New Base Appeal. A further £500 to George’s Trust, a local charity which seeks to raise funds for teenage cancer research and facilities in the University Hospital Southampton. Both presentations took place during the exhibition and were made by the Mayor of Romsey and the Deputy Mayor of Test Valley. e Society’s next event is a Railway Modelling Open Day on 5th July in the Scout Headquarters on Braish eld Road SO51 0PB, where admission is free.
