Facilitated by real Tangoeros/as, this one day event is designed to give amateur musicians and semi-pros the opportunity to play, dance and listen to Argentine tango music. If you play an instrument you can become part of a Tango Orchestra! Players will learn how to play di erent pieces and instrumental techniques in tango style. e repertoire will include some classics such as Canaro - El Choclo, De Caro - Derecho Viejo, Gardel - Por Una Cabeza, Firpo - La Cumparsita, Piazzolla - Oblivion and Di Sarli Comme Il Faut. ere will be a break for lunch 12noon - 1pm, as well as breaks when needed during the session. All music will be sent in advance and adaptations made to suit di erent levels. If you have done any music exams (ABRSM, Trinity etc) please let them know so that they have a better idea of levels. Tracie Gooch from Southampton, who runs Tracie’s Latin Club dance school will be giving a beginners dance class 4pm-5pm to share a glimpse into the beautiful dance! £5 for the dance class. Trio Caminito will close the day with a performance of Argentine tango music from 5.30pm–7pm.
