Whether you’re living with dementia, caring for someone who is, or simply want to support a good cause, there’s something for everyone. Most events are free or low-cost, and everyone is welcome. Here’s a look at what’s happening: Sunday 18th May – Family Dementia Information Day, 10am–3pm, Cros eld Hall, Romsey. Start the week with a fantastic community event! Drop in to meet local organisations, pick up helpful information, and nd out what support is available for people living with dementia and their families. Monday 19th May – Music with Braishfield Ukulele Society, 2.30pm–4pm, All Saints Church Rooms, Braish eld. Go along for a joyful singalong with familiar songs and great company. Refreshments will be served. Tuesday 20th May – Games & Puzzles, 11am for 11.30am start, Dr Peter Centre, Romsey. From chess and ludo to crosswords and jigsaws, they’ve got games for everyone. A lovely way to connect over a cuppa. Suggested donation: £2.50 per person. Wednesday 21st May – Forever Young Dementia Day Care, 9.30am–3.15pm, All Saints Church Rooms, Braish eld. Thursday 22nd May – Talk n’ Tea at Hillier Gardens, 1pm for 1.30pm start, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Romsey. Enjoy a gentle guided walk through the gardens with curator David Jewell, followed by a delicious cream tea. Booking essential. Cream tea: £6 per person. Friday 23rd May – Music Club, 11am, Landford Methodist Hall. A relaxed music session to sing, chat, and connect. £2 per session. Table Tennis, 2.30pm–4pm, Abbey URC Church Hall, Romsey. Table Tennis for all abilities – go along and have a go! Free to attend. How You Can Get Involved: RomDAG runs weekly activities all year round to help people stay active, social, and supported through their dementia journey. Dementia Care Hub Groups e Dementia Care Hub on the Waterside run a weekly social group every Wednesday, 10am–12noon at Jubilee Hall in e Square, Fawley (SO45 1DD). e aim of the group is to reduce loneliness and isolation for older people, by providing people with a safe space to be themselves, enjoy conversation, a cuppa and homemade cake! e group also provides support and advice from professional dementia services and various speakers working in the eld of dementia care. Dr Kellyn Lee who set up e Dementia Care Hub will o en be on hand for one-toone support too. e Dementia Care Hub also runs a Social Group in Totton Community Centre on Mondays 10.30am-12.30pm. An Art and Carer Group is o ered in Totton Community Centre on Thursdays 10.15am-11.45am and Wellbeing Groups are run at Calmore Community Centre on Tuesdays, 10am-3pm and on Wednesdays, 10am-3pm.
