Go along and stock up on all your plant essentials for the summer! A wide selection of a ordable, mostly locally grown annual bedding plants, herbs, vegetable plants, herbaceous perennials and shrubs will be available to buy. ere will be a Children’s table where children can try their hands at something practical and fun! Woodlands Gardening Club meets most second Tuesdays of the year starting at 7.30pm at Netley Marsh Community Hall, Woodlands Road, SO40 7GE. ey are a fun, welcoming club. You don’t need to be a gardening expert to attend, just have an interest in gardens. ey have a wide range of guest speakers talking on gardening topics and other areas of interest at each indoor meeting. e next meeting is 8th July for ‘Idyllic Italian Gardens’ by Rosemary Legrand. Ashleigh the owner of the Hythe Pier and Christine the volunteer gardener met up for tea and cake on Friday 4th April. ey discussed the development of the garden for the forthcoming year. It is now a year since they started the Pier garden, and it has brought joy to many people. Ashleigh and Christine would like to thank the Waterside Christmas Fire Engine who have recently donated £100 to the garden. is will help them buy some colourful bedding plants to make a summer display. ey would also like to thank the numerous donators over the past year. eir contributions have helped the development of the garden for the bene t of all. ey would also like to thank Jane and Frank, volunteer waterers for their continued support.
