Wessex Cancer Support is hosting Wet N Wild, an aqua assault course featuring in atable obstacles, a foam tunnel, water jets, bubbles and colour clouds. Held at Jubilee Camping on Saturday 2nd August, Wet N Wild is open to families, friends and corporate teams. “We’re really excited about this, as it promises to be the perfect fun event for the summer,” said Lorraine White, Interim Head of Community and Events Fundraising. “There are obstacles to overcome, plus we will have water jets, foam and colour clouds all thrown in too. One thing’s for sure - you WILL get wet! Gather your friends, family or colleagues and walk, dance or run your way over the finish line.” ere will be two start time options – 11am and 12noon – and all nishers will receive a special Wet N Wild medal. Teams of over three people will receive a 20% discount on the entry fee, while anyone who raises more than £100 by Wednesday 2nd July will become a ‘Star Fundraiser’, enabling them to claim a free event T-shirt. Rotary Charity Dinner A Success Another successful annual Charity Dinner by Hythe & Waterside Rotary (H&W) was held in the Domus in Beaulieu, courtesy of Lord Montagu. Guest speaker, South Today News Presenter Jon Cuthill, gave a factual and o en humorous insight into his work at the BBC and what goes on behind the scenes. H&W Rotary would like to thank Jon, and all those Jon Cuthill and his wife with H&W Rotary President Terri Whitehouse, and Rotarian Ralph Ellis who organised the event who made the evening so enjoyable and a great success. Special thanks go to those local businesses who gave their support by donating ra e and auction prizes, and to the catering and waiting sta who worked so hard. All pro ts raised by this event will be used to support local, national and worldwide Rotary charities.
