Based on the Waterside For a truly unique fitting experience contact: 07415 390140 shepherdhutseamstress@yahoo.com Fittings by appointment only Learn To Sing Course Budding singers and experienced vocalists alike are being o ered a place on a free choir singing course. e four-week Learn to Sing programme is part of a recruitment campaign being put together by Ocean Harmony - a male voice a cappella choir based in Ashurst. e course will introduce men to choir singing in a relaxed and informal environment and aim to have them singing basic close four-part harmony within a month, alongside regular choir members. Chairman Glyn Perrens said: “Many Ocean Harmony members joined the choir after taking advantage of one of our ‘Learn to Sing’ courses - including myself. It can be daunting just turning up and singing in front of other people for the first time but we understand that and make the whole event fun and very laid back.” e course will be staged at Ocean Harmony’s regular rehearsal venue, Colbury Memorial Hall, on musicals to rock and pop in four-part harmony as well as barbershop style. Ocean Harmony was formed in 2003, is a registered charity and performs in and around Southampton. It has a varied repertoire from the world of stage AT YOUR BIDDING Marchwood St John’s Church will be running a Sealed Bid Auction at Marchwood Village Fete on Saturday 5th July. ere are two Lots that can be won by the highest bidders. Bids will be opened at 2pm on the day. Lot 1 is a Canterbury Collection limited edition pair of bone china plates, with 18 carat gold painted borders. ese depict Marchwood Church and the Old Village Hall. Proceeds will raise funds to help restore seven historically and culturally important paintings. Lot 2 is a signed Saints football team shirt. Money raised will go towards replacing a large part of the church roof.
