It takes place in Amp eld Village Hall (SO51 9BJ), between 10am and 12noon. Parking and admission are free. e Market has become a very popular meeting place, o ering the best value, most delicious refreshments in Hampshire! Every e ort is made to keep the sales tables lively and interesting. ere are top quality, locally sourced items for sale including cakes, biscuits, savoury foods, honey, fresh bread, eggs, plants, fruit and veg, cra s, books, cards, wrapping paper, jewellery and collectables. ey order their fruit and veg from Hansards a very reputable local supplier and they endeavour to sell a good variety of fresh, seasonal produce every month. Matt’s Bakery in Chandlers Ford also supply their bread each month. e Market generates almost £3,000 a year towards Village Hall funds. e Market team generously volunteer their time and baking skills to provide a delicious seasonal selection of cakes every month, which are served with co ee and tea throughout the morning. e next Amp eld Market will take place on Saturday 5th July between 10am and 12noon. Create a decorative piece of work of your own design combining contact/nature printing, lino stamps, frottage, Indian ink drawing and stitch on to a material base. Material, thread, stamps, and ink will be provided (non-washable ink). Take along your own needles and embroidery hoops if desired. TABLE TOP SALES Every 2 weeks on a Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 12noon there’s a great TABLE TOP SALE at Cornerstone Hythe URC in New Road. ere’s always a great selection of electrical items, jewellery, collectables, kitchenware, glassware, bags, toys, brica-brac, a great many jigsaw puzzles and an extensive library of paperback books, CDs and DVDs. Co ee, tea and biscuits are always available in the Foyer too. All proceeds go to the Cornerstone Building Repairs Fund. e next sale is 8th July. The New Forest – landscape shaped by commoning Ashurst WI is an active and growing institute, where members can look forward to an interesting programme of talks and events throughout the year. e next meeting takes place on Wednesday 9th July for a talk by Suzanne Kemp titled ‘ e New Forest – landscape shaped by commoning’. With the family estate entailed away and Mrs Bennet in full matchmaking meltdown, it’s a race to marry them o before the last pig is sold and the curtains come down - literally. Meetings start at 2.30pm and normally last two hours. eir next meeting will be on Friday 11th July for a demonstration by Jan Gaska about Painting Figures in oil paint. Visitors are very welcome and pay £3.50. On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August they will be holding their Summer Exhibition ‘Art on the Green’ at Milford on Sea. Netley Marsh Steam & Craft Show 2025 It’s nearly time for this year’s Netley Marsh Steam & Cra Show, which is taking place on 25th, 26th and 27th July. e show has something for everyone, with steam engines, vehicle displays, heavy horses, street market, live entertainment, the fun fair and delicious food from the many outlets dotted across the site! Plus there’s live music in the evenings from Davey Jones Locker and Rooster on the Friday night and e Underdogs, Trav Cats and Got2Funk on the Saturday night. A day pass is £15 for Adults, £9 for children 6–16, children 5 and under go free, £10 for Students and Senior Citizens 65 or a family ticket is £35. An Adult 3 day pass is £32 and a Child 3 day pass is £20 for over 6’s. Each year the Netley Marsh Steam & Cra Show raises money for local charities and good causes, last year’s show was a huge success raising in excess of £30,000.
