Some of these images may well be included in the club’s annual exhibition which is running until 20th July in Romsey Abbey. View nders meets most Tuesdays at the Jubilee Hall, New Road, Timsbury and new members, regardless of photographic experience, are always welcome. It was a very successful competition for Stuart who also took third place with “Solitude” and Seals of Merit for two other images. Second place was awarded to “Oak in the Morning Mist” by Terry Jamieson, who also had Seals of Merit for two other photographs. Another Seal was awarded to Roy Lambeth DPAGB, EFIAP. At the end of the evening Roy was also presented with the Left to right: Stuart Bennett (winner of Print of the Year), Amanda Miller (Judge) and Roy Lambeth (Print Photographer of the Year) The Fairy Bridge of Glen Creran’ by Stuart Bennett Print of the Year winner MUSIC IN ROMSEY The next concert in Romsey Abbey is on Friday 18th July Romsey Youth Choirs Summer Concert, 7.30pm-9.30pm. Music for a summer’s evening performed by Romsey Youth Chamber Choir, Romsey Youth Choir and Romsey Youth Children’s Choir. On Saturday 19th July Mendelssohn & Shostakovich - Southampton Concert Orchestra, 7.30pm. Join rising star violinist Rose Gosney and Southampton Concert Orchestra in a performance of Mendelssohn’s ever popular violin concerto and Shostakovich’s powerful 4th symphony conducted by Paul Ingram. On Saturday 6th September Silver Sounds - Michelmersh Silver Band, 7.30pm. Join the ever-popular Michelmersh Silver Band for an eclectic mix of music for a September evening. From the classics to pop, to your favourite tunes from stage and screen, there will be something for everyone to enjoy from one of the South West’s premier brass bands.
