CROUDACE HOMES TAKES THE LEAP TO COMBAT YOUTH HOMELESSNESS Four members from local housebuilder Croudace Homes recently participated in homelessness charity Step by Step’s Hero Skydive. eir daring e ort managed to raise £2,751 to support young people facing homelessness. Founded in 1987, Step by Step is a Hampshire-based foundation dedicated to empowering young people and preventing homelessness through the provision of accommodation, personal development opportunities, and specialist support services. In 2024 alone, the charity aided 1,586 young people, with 320 accommodated and 508 receiving free counselling sessions. e Hero Skydive saw participants skydiving from over 13,500 feet, with the overall aim of raising funds for young individuals in need. e event, held at Salisbury Air eld, achieved a total of £9,500 in fundraising e orts, with Croudace Homes contributing nearly 30% of the overall amount. Matthew Norris, Managing Director at Croudace Homes South ames, comments: “The opportunity to join Step by Step’s charity skydive was not only exhilarating, but an absolute honour. Step by Step is a charity that does a fantastic job at supporting local young people facing challenging circumstances. We always want to give back to the local community because here at Croudace, we believe that everyone deserves a home as well as continuous support from a thriving community.” Katy Day-Jones, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Step by Step, remarks: “We are highly appreciative of the enthusiasm and bravery shown by the volunteers from Croudace Homes. Their significant contribution not only supported our fundraising goal, but also sheds light on the challenges young people experiencing homelessness face. Our main goal is to take steps towards a future where every young person can thrive, and we are grateful that Croudace Homes shares our vision.” Croudace Homes Skydivers NFBP Business Support Programme New Forest Business Partnership (NFBP) have a really useful programme of business support and networking events, open to everybody and aimed at providing training for local businesses across a variety of essential skills. e programme includes a mix of both online and in person events - and many of them are free of charge.
