Featuring fantastic live local musical talent, festival traders, food and funfair, join us from 11am until 7.15pm for this free community event brought to you by Hythe Pier Heritage Association. is year, we are delighted to be welcoming back a few of our favourites, the Trav Cats, Mike and the Mojitos, and Davy Jones Locker. New for 2025, we will be joined by Ghost in the Machine, an Electronic Covers duo specialising in electronica, synth pop/ rock from across the decades. Further celebrating our local community, the event will be opened by a choir collaboration from Applemore and Noadswood Secondary schools and brought to a close by Rock the Pier resident compere, Byron Witchell, with a DJ set. A selection of food and drink options will be available onsite, and it’s just a short walk to Hythe village’s extensive choice of local eateries and shops. Rock the Pier is organised entirely by volunteers, to fundraise for the continued preservation and restoration projects associated with Hythe’s historical pier buildings and railway stock. We are extremely grateful to all the acts who are giving their time for free and in recognition of our charitable aims. Nonetheless, the cost of putting on the event is upwards of £8,000 and we therefore couldn’t do so without the generous support of all our sponsors. We would like to thank the Scratch Project for their continued partnership as our Principal Sponsor, as well as Carrington Boats, New Forest Care, Howdens of Hythe, Zillwoods, WEMS (medical cover), Bailey’s Building Ltd, Jack Rabbit Barbers, Meadens of Hythe, PC Building Supplies, and PPL PRS Ltd. And to recognise all the local businesses who have kindly donated prizes for our ra e, including Beaulieu Motor Museum and Exbury Gardens.
