People typically take time out from work and their busy lives at this time of year to enjoy a family break or a holiday together or with friends. Time to relax and rest and just not have to worry about normal day to day things for a while. We all love a holiday but if you haven’t already, have you worked out when you can start the longest holiday of your life… RETIREMENT!! Life isn’t easy and is hectic, life isn’t cheap either especially if you want to enjoy some of the ner things, so we all work hard to make these things happen. Do you have niggling thoughts in your head? When can I stop work and retire? When can I start doing what I really love? One thing I have learnt during my career is people always hit a point in life where they start to think about the future, stopping work. is nagging thought rears its head for us all. e thing is none of us know when we are going to die. Average mortality in the UK is 87 for ladies and 85 for gents. So middle age is our early forties that’s scary isn’t it. If you imagine your life as a two week holiday a lot of you reading this will be well into your second week of that holiday of your life right now. All of us have that dilemma, do I have enough to live the life that I want without the fear of ever running out of money? I’ll work a couple more years, I should be ok then but life has a strange habit of throwing a few speed bumps our way and sometimes quite big ones. ese life events even if they don’t happen to you but do to a loved one or friend alter our thinking and bring things into perspective. Will I have enough money le at the end of my life or are you worried if there will be too much of your life le when you run out of money.
