He received a certi cate and a heartfelt letter of appreciation from the CEO thanking him for all his help and support for the last 10 years. She said they are so lucky to have him as part of the team as he is so reliable, always happy and well known to all the regular customers that really like visiting him in the shop. In April this year, nominations opened for the 12th Tenovus Cancer Care Volunteer Awards, which are held to highlight the impact that their volunteers make and to thank them for the amazing things they do for Tenovus. John was delighted to have been nominated for a Volunteer Award, but unfortunately was not shortlisted this time, but with around 1,000 volunteers in Tenovus Cancer Care, being nominated is a massive achievement. John loves volunteering and working with the team. It makes him feel part of the community which makes him feel happy and healthy. Volunteers are so important to the work of the Cancer charity and they couldn’t do the work they do without the amazing volunteers. Keep up the good work John and well done!
