It will be increasing to £92 per document from 17th November 2025 onwards. It seems there is no time like the present for making LPAs with a law rm and beating the government price hike. For most clients who wish to make LPAs, they would usually pay two rounds of court fees to account for the fact that there are two types of LPAs covering di erent areas of their lives. e rst type deals with your Property and Financial A airs; the second deals with your Health and Welfare. Most people want the security of knowing they have both types in place and they can be looked a er by trustworthy people of their choice whatever might be around the corner. is does mean that, under normal circumstances, a single person wishing to register both types of LPA would currently pay a court fee totalling £164. Under the government’s future pricing structure, they will instead have to pay the court £184. For a couple who each wish to make the two types of LPAs, they would normally have to pay four rounds of the court fee to get the LPAs registered. is would currently amount to £328, but will rise to £368 if the fee increase does go ahead in November. ere are some limited circumstances where the court fee can be waived or reduced. is relies on nancial information to do with income tax and bene ts for the person making the LPAs.
